Zunachst wird die Lese-Rechtschreibstoerung definiert und klassifiziert, um darauf folgend die Ursachen dieser Entwicklungsstoerung aufzuzeigen. Folgend wird beleuchtet, welche Rolle die phonologische Bewusstheit fur den Schriftspracherwerb hat und welcher Zusammenhang zwischen ihr und der Lese-Rechtschreibstoerung besteht. Im Anschluss wird untersucht, wie sich der Schriftspracherwerb bei einem Schuler vollzieht und welche notwendigen Vorkenntnisse dazu gegeben sein sollten. Des Weiteren werden moegliche Pravention- und Interventionsmassnahmen aufzeigt und die genaue Bedeutung der phonologischen Bewusstheit zur Foerderung von Lese-Rechtschreib-Leistungen in diesen Programmen dargestellt. Wie in vielen Bereichen des Lernens, mussen beim Lernenden notwendige Voraussetzungen zum korrekten Aneignen der Sprache und der dazugehoerigen Schriftsprache gegeben sein. Einer von mehreren Faktoren, der im Zusammenhang mit dem Schriftspracherwerb steht, ist die phonologische Bewusstheit. Wie in diversen Lernbereichen, kann es auch beim Erlernen der Schriftsprache zu Beeintrachtigungen und Schwierigkeiten kommen. Zum Erlernen der Schriftsprache bedarf es einiger Vorlauferfahigkeiten, also bestimmter Kompetenzvoraussetzungen, welche bereits vor dem Schuleintritt beherrscht werden sollten. Eine dieser Vorlauferfahigkeiten stellt die phonologische Bewusstheit dar.
