Mehr als 1,3 Millionen Menschen werden zwangsumgesiedelt. Sie verlieren ihre Hauser, ihre Felder sowie ihr persoenliches Hab und Gut. Zugunsten des wirtschaftlichen Aufschwungs im eigenen Land mussen sie Opfer hinnehmen. Das Buch untersucht die sozialen und oekonomischen Konsequenzen der Zwangsumsiedlung aus der Sicht der Bauern. Werden sie fur ihre Verluste entschadigt und wahrend des Umsiedlungsprogramms von Seiten der Regierung betreut? Inwieweit wird das Umsiedlungsprogramm von Protestaktionen und Korruptionen begleitet? Ist eine Wiederaufnahme der landwirtschaftlichen Tatigkeiten (Agraranbau, Viehzucht, Fischfang) nach der Umsiedlung moeglich?
