Kant hielt seit 1765 regelmassig Vorlesungen uber Logik, denen er ein Exemplar des Meierschen Lehrbuchs von 1752 als Leitfaden zugrunde legte, in welches er fortschreitend Anmerkungen und Erlauterungen eintrug, denen er in seinem Vortrag folgte. Da Kant die Ausarbeitung eines eigenen Handbuchs fur seine Vorlesung uber Logik nicht selbst vornahm, sondern diese Aufgabe Gottlob Nejamin Jasche ubertrug, der 1800 bei Nicolovius unter dem Titel Immanuel Kants Logik/ein Handbuch zu Vorlesungen die erste und einzige Originalausgabe herausgab, kommt allen auffindbaren Kollegheften und/oder Nachschriften der von Kant gehaltenen Vorlesungen besondere Bedeutung zu fur die angemessene und richtige Bewertung der Genese seiner Darstellung und Einteilung der Logik.
