The good points about the Samsung remote BN59-01039A: The remote is well constructed. The cover for the battery compartment is attached to the case by a strap and cannot be misplaced. The scroll keys have a good tactile feel to them. All the markings on the buttons are properly aligned, unlike the markings on imitation remotes. The remote is easy to use, has long battery life and functions perfectly. Works but genuine?
The remote works perfectly however I doubt that it is a genuine Samsung product. Battery door does not snap and lie flush like the original, some buttons don't have that normal snap through for a positive engagement.
