    Worth going genuine when it's a good price like this

    I wanted the genuine Made in Japan Mitsubishi Alternator for my FG, which is why I chose Bayford. I wondered about the blind hole, but checked the description for the info. It's marked blue so you can't miss the hole. But I don't trust cutting a thread with the retaining bolt, so I used an M8 tap and it was perfect. Initially it wasn't talking to the CAN system, and I wondered if the "smart" regulator was still the same as OEM, but after a few key cycles, it found it, and works perfectly, including full CANBUS comms, and the correct variable charging that Ford employs on these FGs. Definitely worth paying more for the genuine item. Oh, and the postage was fast - only 2 days from interstate. Cured all my funny electrical gremlins caused by low charging voltage too. Very happy ...

    Genuine item with Ford packaging.

    Perfect fit for FG Falcon. The back mounting has no thread but the old bolt will nicely tapped the hole while tightening. Now getting 14.2volts
