    Diana Wynne-Jones, Queen of Fantasy

    Diana Wynne-Jones is the best fantasy fiction writer ever! (Personal opinion, but shared by Neil Gaiman.) Whether you start with Howl's Moving Castle or these, part of the Chrestomanci series, you're in for a beautiful, charming, feel-good magical adventure. Wonderful stuff :)
