Banacek was a critically acclaimed and popular with audiences TV series that ran from 1972 to 1974 on NBC television. There were seventeen episodes, including a two-hour pilot.This book includes all seventeen telefilms in the series, including the pilot film, which is entitled Detour to Nowhere (1972), and introduced the characters of Thomas Banacek, bookseller Felix Mulholland, and driver Jay Drury. It also had several other characters who would appear in some of the other episodes.The series is listed in date order, with the original air dates listed, followed by directorial credits, complete cast listings, story synopses, and numerous photographs from the particular episodes.
